FAQ

  • How soon can I begin attending the programs after birth?

Deciding when to take baby out in public and around others for the first time is a pressing and sometimes worrisome topic for most new parents. Depending on the circumstances surrounding your babies birth and current health, your guidelines for bringing baby out in public may be different and it may, in fact, be critical for your child's health to avoid public places for a specific period of time. Do your research and talk with your child's doctor to make the best decision for you and your baby.

  • What happens if my baby or I are unwell?

If you or your baby are unwell, we ask that you please stay home whilst sick to ensure germs are not spread within the program.

  • What happens if my baby is unsettled or cries?

Haven’t we all been there? Raising Mamas is dedicated to fostering a supportive community for all mums, free from judgment. Our group facilitators will be present in every session, leading the conversations and offering a helping hand wherever necessary. They, too, understand the dance of motherhood firsthand—don't be surprised if they bring their little ones along, who may have their own moments of fussiness or tears! Remember, we are all in this together, navigating the beautiful, chaotic journey of motherhood.

  • My baby will be 4 months at the beginning of the term, which age group should I book into?

We recommend booking into our 4-12 month program.

  • Can I just attend a single session, instead of signing up for the full 10 week program?

We now open up casual passes for our programs. These passes being available is dependant on the space within a group. Once a group is sold out, there will be no casual passes available. Priority is always given to mamas registering for a term commitment. Casual passes aren’t open until the first/second week of our programs.

  • I have a question but am too nervous to ask it to the group?

There are no silly questions when it comes to being a mum. However we completely understand how daunting it can be to speak up in front of a group. You are more than welcome to email us at info@raisingmamas.com.au and we’ll ask for you. We have a very supportive Facebook Community filled with mums who are ready to help. We can also ask it during group time in our programs. Your question will stay anonymous.

  • What happens if I cannot make a session?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide partial refunds for missed sessions as our speakers and venues are arranged ahead of our program commencement date. We will endeavour to provide a makeup session or catch up materials from the session where possible. *Conditions apply

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a refund within 5 business days of the program commencement date.

  • Can I use a payment plan for the program fees?

Yes, we offer flexible payment plans; simply fill in the Contact Us form on our website and we will set it up for you.

  • When do the Raising Mamas programs run?

Our programs align with QLD school terms. Please check our website for specific start and end dates for each term.

  • Can I bring an older sibling to the sessions?

Due to space and program design, we generally cannot accommodate older siblings in our sessions.
