Meet the Team

Sunshine Coast North Lakes North Brisbane Mothers Group

Kailah Cuckson (Founder)

  • Hi! I’m Kailah and I am the founder of Raising Mamas. I am a mother of two girls, have a very supportive husband and two adorable Labradoodles.

I am an experienced educator with close to 15 years experience working with mums, infants and children in a range of environments. I hold both a Bachelor of Primary Education and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. I am deeply passionate about supporting and encouraging mums who are experiencing the ups and downs that come with being a mother.

After my first daughter was born six weeks premature, it was the support I had around me that helped me through the first 12 months post birth.

Raising Mamas for us, is about providing support and connection to the mama community here on the Sunshine Coast. We completely understand how hard it can be. We’ve been there. We love watching our village grow and seeing mamas find their village through our programs.

Claire Morley (Group Facilitator)

  • Hi, I’m Claire! I am a Mum to a beautiful two year old girl.

After living in Brisbane for 12 years, my husband and I were so excited to move back to the Sunshine Coast (Glenview), because we both grew up here and wanted that same amazing coast lifestyle for our daughter.

My career has spanned from OSHC, to nannying, and then a 12 year corporate career where I honed my skills as an expert facilitator. I also spent 5 years volunteering as a “cuddle carer” for babies in hospital, which was honestly the most rewarding role I have ever been involved in.

I’ll never forget the difference having a supportive Mums group made when I had my daughter. I am so excited to join the Raising Mama’s team and create a safe, warm and judgement-free space in the Caloundra groups.

Erin Morris (Group Facilitator)

  • Hi, I’m Erin. I am a Mother to four beautiful children based in North Brisbane.

I have a background in education and in 2021, I completed training through Newborn Mothers Collective and started my business as a Postpartum Doula.

I am passionate about supporting new mothers to follow their own intuition and find peace and joy during their postpartum.

It takes a village to raise a child. I’m excited to support you all to grow your village and hold space for you as you navigate motherhood.

Katie (Group Facilitator)

  • Hello! I’m Katie, a proud Mumma to an adorable, nearly one-year-old girl, and the devoted caretaker of two lively and affectionate Labradors. I call the beautiful Sunshine Coast my home.

My journey into motherhood has been nothing short of fascinating, transformative, and enlightening. The sudden shifts in both mind and body have fuelled my passion for learning everything about postpartum and mental health education. Through these experiences, I've come to embrace each day as an opportunity for growth, learning, and unconditional love.

I wholeheartedly believe that it truly takes a village to navigate the challenges of motherhood. I've experienced firsthand how these challenges can sometimes catch you off guard, especially as a first-time mum. Recognising the need for support and a strong, caring community, I enrolled in the Raising Mamas 5-12 month program when my daughter was around 6 months old. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding decisions I've ever made for myself.

The significance of having a supportive network and a reliable village has become a driving force in my life. I'm committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces for mothers from all walks of life, regardless of the situations they find themselves in. Because I firmly believe that happy, loved, and supported mums translate into happy, healthy, and loved little ones.

I'm absolutely thrilled to embark on this amazing journey of motherhood with you!
